An Architecture of Frailty
This was a 400 level research project with a brief to design for a specific disability. The disability allocated for this was frailty. Designing a facility for frail patients, working from a client-focused perspective where every design decision is made by looking at its effect on the client. This facility is designed as a place for care and research, as well as offering a residence for patients to stay short term. The site is the corner of Rutherford street adjacent to Wellington Regional Hospital.
